Brian Glisson has a very extensive background in the world of color guard. In 1997 he joined the color guard under the direction of Stephen Ferguson at Christian County High School. This is where he found the passion for the art of color guard. Also in 1997 Brian Co-directed the Christian County Middle School Winter Guard his first of a long list of teaching experiences. In 1998 Brian auditioned for the Chimeras Winter Guard and was picked as a member. Still being a senior in high school he marched in the 1998 show Ole to Billy Joe. Brian also marched the 1999 show Time to say goodbye . Many people still today say that it was one of the best shows ever in winter guard and the best Chimeras show ever done. During Brian's time at Chimeras he learned from some of the best instructors in color guard such as: Tim Vaughn, Damon Padilla, Brian Giddins, Michael Shapiro, Tommy Keenum, and K. C. Michaels. Brian is also a world-renowned baton twirler and won the silver medal in Geneva, Switzerland in 1995. Brian also has a very extensive dance background. He has taken dance all his life his ballet teacher graduated from the Royal Academy of Ballet, in London England. Brian brings all of his experiences to his color guards that he teaches and is very passionate about teaching his student more than just how to spin a piece of equipment. He has taught and worked with many groups such as, Christian County Middle School, Greenbrier High School, Hunters Lane High School, Harpeth High School, Clarksville High School, Beech High School, Moxie Visual Theater, Music City Legend Senior Drum Corp., Goodpasture High School, and now McGavock High School. Brian brings a lot of experience and passion to his groups and loves the sport of color guard.
