Midstate Flute Workshop Opportunity
Mid-State Audition Workshops for Flutes
- Michelle Browne and Abi Coffer will be conducting comprehensive 2.5 hour long workshop sessions for all age flutists trying out for Mid-State. They will cover all aspects of the audition including:
- how to control nerves
- how to play the perfect scale
- how to be a better sightreader
- how to stand out from the crowd on prepared music
- how to maintain a clear and focused tone when auditioning
- how to exude confidence while playing
- how to control nerves
- There will also be a flute repair tech on hand to do adjustments and minor repairs to flutes during the workshop so that instruments are in top shape for the audition.
- Cost is $40 for the workshop and $20 extra to get their flutes checked out.
- Location is KHS America, home of Altus, Azumi and Jupiter flutes. Address: 12020 Volunteer Blvd, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.

- Tuesday, November 14th – 6:30 to 9PM for 11/12th grade (register by 11/10/17)

Midstate Congratulations
Congratulations to the following band students on auditioning and being selected for the All Mid-State Honor Bands this past Saturday at Antioch. Both George Powell and Jonathan Graves made the 9/10 silver band on trumpet! These students will travel to MTSU and perform with the best band musicians in Middle TN in January. Again, congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment!
11th/12th Mid-State Congrats!
Congratulations to the following band students on auditioning and being selected for the All Mid-State Honor Bands this past Saturday. Aaron Cook made 1st chair French Horn in the 11th/12th grade Silver Band. Brandon Kraus made 7th chair Percussion in the 11th/12th grade Silver Band. These students will travel to MTSU and perform with the best band musicians in Middle TN in January. Again, congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment!
Midstate Registration
Mid-state Registration is now open. Please complete the form below and turn in with your $10.00 audition fee to Mr. Womack no later than Friday, October 28th.
Midstate Audition Registration
The Midstate audition registration form is now available on Charms under the 2015 Midstate Audition folder. Please fill out legibly and completely. Please note that some of the options have changed. Also please note that 11th and 12th graders should only sign up for the earliest time because of the Donelson Parade.
